Subject: New idea for a Dockapp

Hello :-)

I have a new idea for a dockapp which is for windowmaker
backgroundsetting... If it runs, it should rotate different backgrounds from
a folder or so und you can configure the time how it has to change the
background like at night a dark background and at a day a light one... and
you should have two buttons where you can select next or previous background
from the folder...

I think i have many good ideas, but i cant progamm the dockapp... i never
found a simple tutorial like the one for wingstoolkit...

i have seen your wmpower+ dockapp and that you are the one which make to
this time new dockaps, also i think that you are able to program this type
of dockapp maybe?

if you have interest, please write me back :-)

I would happy if you can write in the dockapps description that it was a
idea from me, but its you dockapp than :-)

best regards
chris

Subject: wmbackground 1.0.0

Hi Chris,

I'm glad you have a lot of good ideas concerning the new applications. Let
me explain you three important issues:

1. I'm not a programmer. I don't know any programming language. I can't
write the applications. I merely can modify the existing ones adapting
them to my needs. If I state some my application could be interesting
for the other people I submit it here or there.

2. You can share your ideas about the applications with the other people but
you can't ask someone to write these applications. You can only hire
someone to do that. Hiring assumes some reward.

3. As for the application changing the Window Maker background I stated it'll
be easy to write it modifying wmphoto+ that I wrote a month ago. So I
wrote wmbackground 1.0.0 and I submitted it to dockapps.windowmaker.org.
   It should appear there soon.

Bye,

c.kruk
